September–November 2026 filing windows. 26 September is a Saturday, so August VAT-1 / MPHB move to 28 September. There is no separate SSI 23rd.
VAT-1 is typically the 28th of the following month; the combined withholding and SSI return (MPHB), stamp tax and lodging tax the 26th; VAT-2 the 25th; provisional tax the 17th of the second month after the quarter. Weekends and public holidays move the date to the next business day — the Revenue calendar governs.
There is no separate “SSI 23rd”. Monthly premiums have been inside MPHB since 2017. Hire notices are still due the same day and exits within 10 days; those are personnel filings, not the monthly return.
September 2026: the 26th is a Saturday, so August VAT-1, MPHB, stamp and lodging land on Monday 28 September. VAT-2 stays Friday 25 September. September MPHB / stamp / VAT-2 are 26 October; VAT-1 is 28 October, ahead of the 29 October holiday. Third-period provisional tax (July–September) is 17 November 2026. October VAT-1 shifts from Saturday 28 November to 30 November.
On hospitality and construction files, POS, progress billing and FX differences must hit the period’s trial balance before a return is drafted. The portal shows the queue on your own file.
